Kia Ora. I am a Year 6 student in Te Kauru at Paparore School. My blog is a collection of my work at various stages, across different curriculum areas. Throughout my time at Paparore School I may share draft copies of my work for feedback and feedforward. Other times I will share my final published pieces.

Under the bed
WALT: we are learning to use descriptive vocab in our writing .
This is work I have written and edited myself . It is still a work in progress .
Under The Bed
As Junior drifted off to sleep in his Lighting Mcqueen Pjs , he heard
either a cat meowing , a dog barking , a monster scratching , or his dad snoring
. He pulled out his favourite teddies for protection and did his one and only
Superman dive under his bed then he realized that it couldn't have been his dad
because he was not sleeping “hmm” junior thought . He crawled a little bit
further and saw what was a mixture of a cat meowing , a dog barking , a
monster scratching but not his dad snoring . At this moment in time he thought
his eyes were going to pop out of his head , “ping” his head went . I need cat
Food , dog food and monster food . A couple weeks later his cat
Food , dog food and monster food arrived . he ran to the kitchen mashed the cat
food ,Dod food and the monster food together then put in a bowl and placed it
In front of his bed and waited . He fell asleep then heard loud thudding from his
Bed , he ran and said “ holy guacamole” .
This piece of writing was very fun and I found this very easy because you could use your imagination.
Have you ever used Pobble before and if yes how many sentences did you write

When? Begins on the 25th of June.
Where? Matariki should normally be found near the north east of the sky.
Did you know that matariki is a cluster of stars not a constellation . Interesting.
The matariki celebration lasts up to three days long ! WOW
Around the world matariki has a lot of different . Amazing
The mother is Matariki, and her daughters are Tupu-ā-nuku, Tupu-ā-rangi, Waipuna Rangi, Waitī, Waitā, and Ururangi.
Awesome Matariki is one of the closets clusters of stars to earth .
Cool Matariki is technically a festival celebrating the maori new year and it only happens once a year.
WALT: we are learning about matariki.
I found putting all the facts in my own words difficult .
